  • Who do we help?

We created this foundation in 2024 to support Alzheimer’s and dementia research, as well as the local resource centers that walk alongside families every day – often quietly, and often without enough support. These resources include The Alzheimer’s Association – Long Island Chapter, The Long Island Alzheimer’s and Dementia Center, and The Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center.

  • Know someone we can help?

If a resource comes to mind that is not listed, please contact us! Our goal is to help those navigating Alzheimer’s and dementia on the largest scale possible. We are open to benefitting other resources that match our values.

 FAQs

  • We operate with the goal of donating 100% of our proceeds. Our expenses are kept to the bare minimum – by hosting events with the help of sponsors. This website is our largest, and only, recurring expense.

  • If you or a loved one have been diagnosed, there are a wide array of resources available to help you. A good place to start is the Alzheimer’s Association’s 24/7 helpline, (800) 272-3900. If you contact us directly, we will be happy to direct you towards the appropriate resources.

  • The Alzheimer’s Association has a wealth of educational material about Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Please visit Alz.org for more information.

  • Both the MacDonell Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association can never have too many volunteers. For opportunities to volunteer, please contact us directly!
